As welding base metal for making cylinder, since the poor welding character, 27SiMn influences the welding quality of clinder all the time, for getting the steel welding joint that comply with high intensity, good plasticity and toughness, we study the welding technique by using the cooperation between theory analysis and test. The result shows that the carbon equivalent of 27SiMn is more than 0.4%, the hardenability of steel and the cold crack of welding joint sensibility are strong, for ensuring the good welding quality, the strict welding techinques must be implemented by advanced heat for welding, controlling interlayer temperatur as well as destressing anneal after welding, the final welding procedure will be fixed by the test result and the welding line satisfy the key technique request of cylinder welding. The welding quality will arrive the design request of matched cylinder by using this welding procedure.
